Back West

Next up was back to the west to Aunt Cara & Uncle Terry's house!

Grandma Ryan (Terry's mom) stopped by! I don't even think she's left-handed, but she's such a pro it doesn't matter:) She has 10 kids and beaucoup (that's French for a lot) grandchildren, great-grandchildren and even one great-great grandchild!

:) I had Mom's name and I had Cara embroider "Binga's Treasures" and all the grandkids' names on a shirt for her. She knew she was getting a shirt (I had to ask the size) but she had no idea what I had done to it! Thanks Cara!!

TJ: Hmmm...this isn't too different from holding Bella when she was a little puppy. See, I just scratch his back and he stays quiet. It's not that bad.
Aaron: TJ, don't do it...don't have kids. You'll never get a full night's sleep for the rest of your life. DON'T DO IT!!!!!!

Cheeseballs was a favorite. Jacob's been known to steal the whole container and hide in the laundry room eating them fist over fist!!! I'm just shaking my head. Oh Jacob.
Unbelievable...I left my camera in my suitcase so I have NO PICTURES from the Stinemetz Christmas at Philip's. Good grief. It was great. I hardly had to hold Isaac all weekend--Warene, Carolyn and PAPA fought over him the whole time! ha Way too much delicious food, great fellowship, round robin ping pong (of course!) and not enough time or sleep.
We had so much fun seeing everyone on our whirlwind "tour" but we are very glad to be home!!

Yeah, Hudson's had enough, Bryce has assumed the thumb-sucking position--find my happy place, find my happy place!, Kaedyn is still cheesin' it up, Anna is wondering when bedtime is, Mia...I don't know!? I'm pretty sure Jacob is thinking about tripping Hudson. Doesn't this look like FUN?!?

7 Hour Drive and 2 Roadside Potty Stops...

Next up was Colorado. The first half of the trip was torturous. All three kids were not cooperating with my plan for a quiet, peaceful, nap-taking seven hour roadtrip. What were they thinking?! But the 2nd half was much better. Not enough sleeping for my taste but at least they weren't all screaming.

Having a 5 week old and three kids has taken up the part of my brain that remembers my camera whenever we go somewhere. UGH!

Christmas #1

Our first celebration was at home with just the five (FIVE!) of us, before we left for Colorado.

This kid is so much fun to watch open presents!! Every scrap of paper he tears off is so exciting! Most of the time before he even had a present opened he was saying "Hank you! Hank you!"
Daddy played a mean trick on him here...told Jacob he had a surprise for him. It was a piece of popcorn!!

How cute is he in this hat? It's actually the hat to his pumpkin costume but I thought it looked like an elf's hat!

Thanks to Bruce & Shirley for the gifts...they LOVE THEM!

Don't be fooled by his sleep B & S...he was SO EXCITED to see this cute, soft puppy. Okay, not really. He slept through the entire opening of presents. But one day he'll love this puppy ;)

Jacob is making the computer beep-I keep telling him to quit & his answers?

"I just honkin!" (As he "honks" his own back)
"I wuh-kin (working) Mama!"
"I talkin to da paputer (computer)!"
He also sings "Bob the Builder" a lot and recently he's changed it up a bit:

What?!

Ha!!! It's supposed to be "yes we can". It's hilarious how he says "what" at the end, as if he's shocked he said no we can't.
