January Happenings

 Jacob will sometimes sneak into Isaac's bed at night. It's pretty sweet to see them cuddled together, but I always move him back to the top bunk because it never fails that he wakes Isaac up with his thrashing around!

 The kids are now using Anna's doll stroller (that's going on its 8th year!) as a mode of transportation for Isaac. I can't believe that thing is still in one piece!!

 I have no idea what they were playing, but they had a grand time for quite a while.

 And then Daddy came home and things got really wild and fun! :)

 Until Jacob stubbed his toe. Isaac was quick to offer a get-better-kiss!

 Hey Isaac, you're not going to be the only Sheriff in town...come September, there'll be a new (little bitty) Sheriff in town! :)

Names, names...

We are having THE hardest time picking a name for this baby!!! We thought we had one, and then Anna came up with one I loved but Aaron didn't. And now we can't even agree on any part of his name. BUT! We've figured out one part...and even had the name framed & it's hanging above his bed...........

Getting Closer!

We got my bedroom cleaned today & got the baby's bed all set up! We don't have enough room to put the crib up (or enough room in the other bedroom for the baby!) So we're going to use a Pack'n'Play in our room as long as we can. This one has a ton of storage so I can put some of his clothes in there & not have to worry about waking the other 2 in the middle of the night for extra pj's or diapers. We still have a few things to get, but for the most part everything is ready!

The View from Here

6 months already!! And blocking more of my computer every day. ;) He's becoming more active, but only when I'm still (and trying to sleep of course!). The kids have both felt him kick. I'm not sure Jacob really gets what's going on, but he likes to pull my shirt up & "see" the baby. He always points right at my belly button & says "baby!" so I'm hoping he doesn't think *that* is the baby!! He also insists that he has a baby in his belly, too! He comes up & pulls my hand over his so he can feel the baby kick. Anna, of course, is always talking to the baby & giving him hugs & kisses.
Everyone asks how I'm feeling & the best answer is *pregnant*!! I can't really complain too much. Aches & pains that come with the territory I suppose. At least I'm not sick. My 24 week check up is this week. Time is going too fast. Before I know it, school will start & not long after this little soccer player will be here! So far we haven't been able to agree on a name, so we'll see what happens...might have to stay longer at the hospital! :)

BOY!!!!!!! Aaron was right! That's his foot clear up next to his face & his hand. I could see right away, so there's no doubt it's a boy! Anna is very excited, even though she said she wanted a sister :)

The Grandparents Don't Catch on Quickly

Video of when we told the grandparents about the new baby. Neither set caught on very quickly!! I made the kids' shirts (seen in the last post) and they were wearing them both times! My parents didn't even notice the shirts and when they read their card (this will be their 7th grandchild) Mom didn't know if it was me or Cassie! ha Aaron's mom even READ Jacob's shirt several times and the meaning didn't sink in!! Too funny. Oh--I was trying not to be obvious about filming when Aaron's parents got here, so sorry it's a little bumpy!

A New Baby

Congratulations to my cousin and his wife on the birth of their precious son! They live in Peru, so we're having to satisfy ourselves with pictures for now :) He is a sweetie!!!
