One Big Happy Family

Here we are with all of our foster kids! Anna wasn't too happy to be taking a picture (you should see the first one...she's about the come out of her clothes she was trying to get away so hard!). I decided on the spur of the moment we should take a family picture, especially since all our Christmas decorations are still up! :) This is the first time back together since break. I forget that these kids take up a bit more room than my "real" kids! ha The tree really is back there behind Ben...it's just a really small tree!!! :) Turned out pretty good considering I propped my camera on a step stool on top of a bench!

From the Mouths of Babes...

As my aunt commented in my last "Anna-ism" post, about having faith like a child. Anna is a sweet example to me of taking everything to my Savior in prayer! Nothing is too trivial for our God...He wants us to bring Him our concerns, worries, cares. And Anna loves to pray. She reminds us to pray before every meal, she asks to pray before going to sleep. And I love hearing what she prays for!

The other day at lunch, she was praying for a list of people. Then she said "and for Jake...he's such a nice boy." !!!!!!!
Tonight before bed, she prayed "that Mommy & Daddy will be able to potty train Jacob" HA! Maybe that's her hint?! ;)

She got this cute microphone from Aaron's aunt & uncle. It took her a while to warm up to us (just us and Gma & Gpa W and Great Gma J!), but when she did...boy did she perform! Too cute! :)
Notice how she runs out of the room at the end of the song...she was waiting for me to "announce" her! Where did she get that?!?! And then her "bow" CRACKS me up!!!

I Love My Girl!

The Men in this family are ---not smart!

These boys have to make bets on everything...and the wagers are STUPID (don't tell Anna I said that!). The first one was on a football game-a call getting overturned. Dad lost the bet!
The next ones are the boys seeing who can balance the longest on the exercise ball. The loser had to stick their head in the snow for 15 seconds. Dad lost but then they said double or nothing. So then I think Aaron lost, but they haven't followed through on that one yet! Men!!

Anna-isms!

I haven't been very good about writing down the funny/cute things Anna says (and she has a lot of them!). Someone just asked me if I wrote these down, after hearing a story about something she said. So that reminded me to do so!

The other night, when Aaron was putting the kids to bed, Jacob was fighting it (shocker!). He wasn't laying down. Aaron told him if he didn't lay down he was going to get a swat. Of course, Jacob didn't lay down. So he got a swat. Anna turned over and said,

"That oughta do it Dad."

Grandpa & Grandma W have a tradition of giving Anna an angel ornament every year. After she opened this year's angel, she carried it around. After a while, she said,

"Mom, this angel is really special. Do you know why? Because it reminds me of God. When we get home, I'm gonna hang it up in my room so I can remember about God."

PRECIOUS!

One of these days, I might have some posts titled "Jacob-isms" but I have a feeling that will be a while. It is pretty funny to ask "Jacob, do you want to open presents?" He yells "YEAH!!!!!!" :)
