Smart Girl

Anna loves learning and she learns quickly. I haven't really worked with her on letters and writing. She has the Leap Frog Letter Factory DVD, which she loves, and she quickly learned how to write her name. She knows all the letter sounds and I'm pretty sure knows by sight all the letters. For several weeks now, she's been pulling her little chair over and drawing on her chore board. Today, she decided that she wanted to write her chores. When I saw her, she'd written some random letters and she asked me to help her. So I helped her sound out the words and she wrote them all by herself (and told me what letters made the sounds). I was shocked! She did amazing!! I had to help her with the 'S', but that's the only one. The rest of them, she knew how to write!

"TOYS"...one of her chores is to pick up her toys before bed. I had to talk her into just writing 'toys' and not 'pick up toys'!!

I had to take a picture of her 'E'...I remember writing my e's the exact same way, with lots of lines! The more the better, it seems:)

She's telling me how to write a 'T' :)

I'm so amazed!

Way to go Anna!! Nathan is in love with letters right now too. He knows them by sight and is now putting them with words, D is for Daddy, N is for Nathan, etc. It is so exciting to see them learn new things!! Hope you all have a wonderful Easter.
